The Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20,) is Jesus’ invitation for us to have a part in His awesome plan for all humanity to know Him. FBC has several opportunities to be involved in missions: Women’s Missionary Union; Myrtice Owens & Nina Mann Mission Studies, as well as various mission trips throughout the year.
Honduras 2012
In May 2012, FBC Milan sent a 23-member mission team to work with Baptist Medical and Dental International (BMDMI) in Agua Blanca, Dolores Intubuca', Honduras, C.A.  Team members were:
Katie Adkins, Bill Anderson, Angie Atwood, Drew Bartholomew, Ruthie Bell, Judy Cantrell, Sandy Edwards, Alvin Escue, Emily Giddens, Pam Pearman, Mills Powell, Tony Pigg, Tonya Pigg, Joe Ragon, Renee Ragon, Tim Sanderson, Matt Sims, Kyle Smith, Rhonda Smith, Elizabeth Wilson, Jerry Wilson, Kim Wilson, and Paul Wilson.
With the help of a Honduran Team provided by BMDMI, the 23 team members provided a Medical Clinic, a Dental Clinic, a Pharmacy, and a Vacation Bible School to minister to the people living in the area of Agua Blanca.  In addition to these ministries, the mission team also inlcuded a Kitchen Ministry Team which took care of the nutritional needs of the mission team while in Agua Blanca.  While the other ministry teams were busy with their ministries in Agua Blanca, the Evangelism Team loaded back packs with bibles and bags of rice and beans and hiked into the nearby mountains to share both spiritual and physical food with people in thier homes.  Services were also held nightly where Tim Sanderson, our Associate Pastor, preached and shared the gospel.  The Mission Team also spent an afternoon loving on the children living at an orphanage which is owned and operated by BMDMI.
While in Agua Blanca, the team saw 734 medical patients, dispensed 3,590 perscriptions, saw 99 dental patients, extracted 120 teeth, handed out 96 Bibles, gave away 200 lbs of rice and beans, ministered to scores of children, and touched hundreds of lives with the love of Christ.  Through all of the ministry efforts, a total of 164 souls were saved.
